Men's Volleyball Sweeps Wilkes

GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Arcadia University men's volleyball team swept Wilkes in three sets on Wednesday night inside Alumni Gymnasium. 

Owen Heft led the way on the attacking front for the Knights as he led all players with 10 kills. Ryan Miller and Dylan Zimmerman added seven kills each for Arcadia in the convincing victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

Set 1: Arcadia 25, Wilkes 11 

The Knights jumped out to an early lead as they took the first five points of the match. Arcadia held a healthy lead throughout the frame and closed the set on a 10-3 run to take a 1-0 lead in the match.  

Set 2: Arcadia 25, Wilkes 12 

The opening portions of the middle set were close, but the Knights used a 7-2 run to open up a 15-8 lead. Arcadia closed the set on a 9-2 run to take a 2-0 lead in the match. 

Set 3: Arcadia 25, Wilkes 23 

The Colonels took the first three points of the set, but Arcadia battled back, winning the next five. Wilkes then won seven consecutive points to take a 10-5 lead. The Knights would then bounce back to take the lead for good as they went on a 9-1 run, giving them a 14-11 advantage. Wilkes got within one at the end of the set through a 5-1 run, but the Knights took the final point of the match to seal the victory.
