HOBOKEN, N.J. - The Arcadia University men's volleyball team dropped two matches at the Stevens Tri-Match, falling to No. 5 Stevens, 3-1, and Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE), 3-0, on Saturday afternoon.
Owen Heft led the Knights attack in the match against Stevens with 10 kills. He added seven kills in the defeat to MSOE. Collin Nissley recorded 12 kills against MSOE, and four against Stevens.
Vaughn McConnell tallied 35 assists over the two matches. Anthony Devantier had 18 against Stevens.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1: Stevens 25, Arcadia 13
The Ducks got out to an early 10-7 lead, and added to that advantage with a 5-0 run to extend their lead to 15-7. Stevens continued its strong play in the opening set to take a 1-0 lead in the match.
Set 2: Arcadia 25, Stevens 23
One point separated the teams until Arcadia won four of five points, giving them an 18-15 lead, forcing a Stevens timeout. The Ducks took a 20-19 lead, but Arcadia won six of the final nine points in the set to tie the match at one.
Set 3: Stevens 25, Arcadia 15
Stevens opened an early 13-8 lead, forcing an Arcadia timeout. The Ducks outscored Arcadia, 12-7 after the timeout to take a 2-1 lead in the match.
Set 4: Stevens 25, Arcadia 22
With the score tied at eight, the Knights took four consecutive points to lead 12-8, forcing a Stevens timeout. Arcadia led 16-11, but Stevens battled back, including winning seven of the final eight points of the frame to win the match.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1: MSOE 25, Arcadia 20
The Raiders won four consecutive points, taking a 12-9 lead. The Knights battled back to tie the set at 12, but MSOE won five straight points for a 21-16 advantage. The teams traded the final points as the Raiders took a 1-0 lead in the match.
Set 2: MSOE 25, Arcadia 14
MSOE won 11 straight points in the middle stages of the set en route to a 2-0 advantage in the match.
Set 3: MSOE 25, Arcadia 23
The Knights won seven of nine points, giving them a 15-13 lead, forcing a Raider timeout. The Knights led 20-18, but MSOE ended the set on a 7-3 run to win the set and the match.
