No. 5/8 Baseball Falls at TCNJ
TRENTON, N.J. – The No. 5/8 Arcadia University baseball team fell by a 15-1 final to The College of New Jersey in non-conference action at Trenton Thunder Ballpark on Tuesday evening.
The Knights fall to 31-6 with the defeat, the first time the team has dropped two games in a row during the 2022 season.
Arcadia opened the scoring in the top of the first when
Trevor Laraia doubled to score
Justin Massielo after Massielo was hit by a pitch with two outs.
The Lions tied the score in their half of the frame, and scored four runs in the fifth and sixth, and six in the seventh to put the game away.
Connor Cheeseman and
Ryan Smolen each finished the game 2-for-3 at the plate.
The Knights return to action on Friday when they travel to DeSales to begin the final Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) series of the season with first pitch scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
