GLENSIDE – The Arcadia University Department of Athletics and Recreation has announced the hiring of Arsenio Culver as the new Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach. Culver is set to begin his duties at Arcadia on Monday, July 25.

Culver comes to Glenside after most recently serving as the Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach at Clark University in Worcester, Mass. While with the Cougars, Culver brought in the highest-ranked recruiting class in the last ten years.
 
Prior to his time at Clark, Culver served as an Assistant Men's Tennis Coach at Villanova University and the Associate Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach at La Salle University. While with the Wildcats, Culver coached two All-Big East players and helped the team to two Big East All-Academic selections.
 
Culver also has experience at the club level, serving as Director of Tennis at Plymouth Swim Club in Plymouth Meeting. In that position, Culver created the tennis program for a 175-member club where he administered group and private lessons to campers of all ages and skill levels. Culver also serves as a coach at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic School and Cheltenham Youth Tennis, the Adult Director of Tennis at Bryn Mawr Racket Club, and Director of Tennis at Culver Courts, LLC. "I'm so excited to continue my career working with such studious athletes and welcoming staff," Culver finished.
 
"Coach Culver was an accomplished player and has extensive coaching experience at multiple levels," Executive Director of Athletics and Recreation Brian Granata said. "He is deeply connected to the local community, and we are confident in his abilities to lead our program moving forward."
 
Culver graduated from Norfolk State in 2012 with a degree in Education, where he was a four-year member of the men's tennis program for the Division I Spartans. During his playing career, Culver was a three-time First Team All-Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Selection and during his sophomore season, Culver finished the year ranked No. 20 in the final Campbell/ITA Regional Rankings. While in high school at nearby Cheltenham High School, Culver was named an All-State and All-American performer.
