GLENSIDE – The Arcadia University men's soccer team opened up the 2022 season with a 2-0 win over Rutgers-Camden on Thursday afternoon. Cole Gordon opened the scoring in the eighth minute before Steven Warren doubled the Knights advantage in 81st minute to put the game away. Jake Varrato opened the season much like last season, earning a clean sheet with one save.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-Gordon got Arcadia on the board when he headed in a corner kick from Aidan McGrath, putting the ball low, sneaking it past Scarlet Raptors goalkeeper Sean Boen.
-Neither team generated much pressure until Warren slipped through the middle of the defense, beating Boen with a perfect shot.
