HAVERFORD, Pa. - Two late goals from first-year midfielder Giancarlo Ciotoli earned the Arcadia University men's soccer team a 2-2 tie against Haverford on Wednesday afternoon.
With the Knights trailing by two entering the 75th minute, Ciotoli scored his first of two goals in an eight-minute span to give Arcadia a draw on the road.
Goalkeeper Jake Varrato made all six of his saves in the second half in the tie.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Haverford got out to an early lead as it scored the opener in the fifth minute. That score would stand as the teams went into the halftime break.

The Fords once again got off to a strong start in the second half as they took a 2-0 lead in the 53rd minute.

Ciotoli scored his first goal of the game off a corner kick that was sent into the box by Thomas Hoy. The 75th minute goal for the Knights cut their deficit to 2-1.

The Knights second goal came off a long ball from Gunnar Swanger that Ciotoli ran down and chipped over the Haverford goalkeeper to knot the score at two in the 83rd minute.
