LANGHORNE, Pa. - The Arcadia University men's soccer team defeated Cairn, 2-1, on Wednesday night on the road.
The Knights applied pressure on the Cairn defense all night long, registering 23 shots, including 12 on goal. They also earned seven corner kicks in the match.
First-year midfielder Ashton Davis and junior midfielder Nathaniel Sellers each recorded their first career goals in the victory.
With the win, Arcadia improved its record to 2-1-0 on the year.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Knights' first goal came after Ethan Torpey used a skill move to beat a defender on the outside of the box. He then squared the ball to Davis in the middle of the box, who found the back of the net in the 42nd minute to give Arcadia a 1-0 lead.

Sellers gave the Knights a 2-0 lead in the 57th minute as he headed the ball past a Cairn defender to create space. His shot then took a deflection off a Highlander defender and got past the goalkeeper to extend Arcadia's lead.

Cairn cut the Knights lead to 2-1 in the 73rd minute through a penalty kick goal.
