ABINGTON, Pa. - Dayna Balasa's career-high 23 points lifted the Arcadia University women's basketball team to a 62-51 victory over Penn State Abington in non-conference play on Monday evening. Balasa was joined in double-figures by
Abby Beam and
Scarlett Glasser-Nehls.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-Penn State jumped out to an 8-0 lead through the first five minutes before Balasa hit a three-pointer to get the Knights on the board.
-Arcadia trailed 21-8 at the end of the first quarter.
-The Knights outscored the Nittany Lions 22-5 in the second, taking a 30-26 lead into the break.
-Arcadia led 43-38 after the third, and started the fourth on a 6-1 run to grab a 49-39 advantage, and led by as many as 15 on its way to the victory.
