LANCASTER, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's volleyball team fell in its season-opener to Lancaster Bible College, 3-2, on Wednesday night.
In his first career collegiate match,
Andrew Ahn led the Knights with 12 kills. He also tallied 11 digs to record a double-double.
Kevin Abraham chipped in with 11 kills and
Danny Gonzalez added 10.
Vaughn McConnell dished out 31 assists and
Vincent Colucci led the Knights' defense with 14 digs.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1: Lancaster Bible 25, Arcadia 19:
The opening set was tied at eight until Lancaster Bible won four of the next five points to take a 12-9 lead. The Knights battled back to tie set multiple times, but Lancaster Bible closed the frame on a 9-3 run to take a 1-0 lead in the match.
Set 2: Arcadia 25, Lancaster Bible 20:
The teams once again battled back and forth for points in the early stages of the second set. Trailing by two, the Knights went on a 7-2 run to take a 19-16 lead. The Chargers tied the set at 20, but Arcadia won the final five points to tie the match at one.
Set 3: Lancaster Bible 29, Arcadia 27:
The teams traded the lead back and forth until the set was tied at 10. Lancaster Bible had a 19-17 lead, but the Knights tied the set at 20 through an Ahn kill. Arcadia battled to set point on three different occasions, but Lancaster Bible took the final three points to take the third frame.
Set 4: Arcadia 25, Lancaster Bible 9:
The Knights opened the set on an 11-0 run and extended it to a 15-2 advantage. Arcadia cruised to the set win to force a decisive fifth frame.
Set 5: Lancaster Bible 15, Arcadia 13:
Arcadia held an early 6-3 lead in the final set, but the Chargers took the next four points to take a 7-6 lead. The teams would battle to an 11-11 tie, but Lancaster Bible took four of the final six points to win the match.
