YORK, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's swim team beat York College (Pa.) 144-60 in their season opener. The Knights touched the wall first in 8 events on the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The 200-yd medley squad of
Julia Stephens,
Risa Krauss,
Mikayla Scardino, and
Grace Brooks kicked off the meet with a first-place finish (1:54.57).
- Stephens had two individual wins on the day. She touched the wall first in the 200-yd freestyle (2:02.92) and in the 100-yd backstroke (1:01.94). Her 200-yd freestyle time is a second faster than her 2022-23 season best.
- Scardino swam to first place finishes in the 50-yd freestyle (25.51) and in the 100-yd freestyle (56.32).

Olivia Hyde won the 100-yd butterfly event with a time of 1:06.01, earning the Knights 9 points.

Kylie Perry earned her first collegiate win in the 500-yd freestyle (5:56.51). She finished nine seconds ahead of the rest of the heat.
- First-year
Kayleigh Kennedy had two second place finishes in her first college meet. Kennedy swam the 1000-yd freestyle in 11:59.07 and the 100-yd butterfly in 1:06.21.

Ava Despeaux also earned herself two second-place finishes in her college debut in the 200-yd individual medley (2:23.97) and the 100-yd breaststroke (1:13.24).
