HOBOKEN, N.J. – The Arcadia University women's volleyball team fell to Stevens in four sets on Tuesday night in Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) play.
The Knights fall to 3-3 in the MAC Freedom on the season.
Alysa Dennison had a match-high 15 kills in the contest. Estefania Martinez-Sola had a double-double with 19 assists and 16 digs.
STEVENS 3, ARCADIA 1
HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1: Arcadia 25, Stevens 19:
The Knights took the first seven points of the match and continued to build on its lead, eventually leading to an 18-10 Arcadia advantage. Stevens fought back, cutting its deficit to four at 23-19, but Arcadia took the final two points of the set to take a 1-0 lead in the match.
Set 2: Stevens 25, Arcadia 10:
Arcadia held a 5-4 lead, but the Ducks went on an extended 21-5 run to even the match at a set apiece.
Set 3: Stevens 25, Arcadia 10:
The Ducks began the set on a 13-3 run, and they continued their strong play through the rest of the frame to take a 2-1 lead in the match.
Set 4: Stevens 25, Arcadia 14
The teams traded multi-point runs in the opening stages of the set, which led to Stevens holding an early 9-4 lead. The Knights cut their deficit to three points at 16-13, but the Ducks won the next eight points, which led to them taking the set and the match.
