Late Push Falters for Women's Soccer vs No. 9 Montclair State

GLENSIDE - A late push fell short for the Arcadia University women's soccer team as it was defeated by No. 9 Montclair State 2-1 in non-conference play at Jean Lenox West Field on Wednesday evening.

Abby Fuchs tied for the 10th-most saves in a single game in program history, stopping eight shots.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Montclair State opened the scoring with a goal off a corner kick in the 34th minute.

-The Red Hawks doubled the deficit in the 53rd minute.

-Caroline Stokes scored the first goal of her career in the 71st minute with an assist off an Abby Stephens corner kick.

-The Knights put pressure on Montclair State late in the game but was unable to break through.
