DALLAS, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's swim team is currently in third place after the first session of the Cougar Splash Invitational hosted by Misericordia University.
The Knights set two new program records in the 100-yd backstroke and the 400-yd medley relay.
SESSION ONE RESULTS
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Knights began the meet with a win in the 200-yd freestyle relay (1:39.91). This included
Grace Brooks,
Hannah Daniels,
Julia Stephens, and
Mikayla Scardino.
- Stephens broke her own 100-yd backstroke record by 1.08 seconds leading off the 400-yd medley relay.
- 400-yd medley relay squad of Stephens,
Risa Krauss,
Ava Despeaux, and Scardino came in first place and broke the school record set in 2017 by 3.84 seconds.
- Brooks dropped .88 for a new season best in the 50-yd freestyle (25.69).
- Daniels dropped 1.35 seconds in her 50-yd freestyle for a new season best time of 25.71l
- Despeaux swam the 200-yd individual medley in 2:18.53, being the first Knight to touch the wall in this event.

Juliane Heller recorded a personal best in the 200-yd individual medley by 4.18 seconds (2:25.07).

Olivia Hyde swam the 500-yd freestyle in 5:36.27, immediately followed by
Kayleigh Kennedy in 5:36.75. Then
Risa Krauss finished one behind Kennedy with a time of 5:38.80.
