WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - The No. 3 seed Arcadia University men's basketball team advanced to the 2023 Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) Championship after defeating the No. 2 seed Lycoming College by a 74-73 final on Wednesday evening.
Justin Money, who hit the game-winning free throw with five seconds left, led all scorers with 25 points.
Nas Johnson added 20 and
Jalen Watkins contributed 19.
HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
-The Knights began the game on an 8-0 run before Lycoming got on the board.
-The Warriors cut the lead to 13-11 before a 13-3 run gave Arcadia a 26-14 lead with 8:54 until halftime.
-The Knights led by as much as 16, holding a 37-25 advantage heading to halftime.
-Arcadia held a 70-54 lead with just over five minutes remaining before a 19-3 run tied the score at 73 with 18 seconds left.
-Money was fouled with five seconds left, hitting the front end before missing the second.
