Women's Basketball Set to Travel to DeSales for MAC Freedom Semifinals

GLENSIDE - The Arcadia University women's basketball team is set to travel to top-seeded DeSales University, the No. 8 team in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) NCAA Division III Top 25 Coaches Poll, on Wednesday evening for the Seminfinals of the 2023 Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) Women's Basketball Championship with tip-off scheduled for 8:00 p.m.

ABOUT THE KNIGHTS

Arcadia has been led during the regular season by Delaney Bell, the only player to start all 25 contest. Bell has season averages of 7.5 points and 8.6 rebounds-per-game with 2.9 assists and one steal and block per-game. Over her last six regular season games, Bell has averaged 12.5 and 9.2 rebounds. The Knights were led in scoring by Hanna Rhoades, who averaged 11.3 points followed by Scarlett Glasser-Nehls' 8.8 and Mara Weaver's 7.9 ppg. Rhoades ranked seventh in the conference for scoring average, while Bell placed second and Weaver was 12th for rebounds. Rhoades and Weaver were both top-five in three-point percentage, with Rhoades third at 29.8 percent and Weaver fifth at 26.1 percent. 

Glasser-Nehls led the Knights to victory in the 4/5 Play In Game at Delaware Valley on Monday, setting a career-high with 25 points to go with five assists and four rebounds while Bell finished with 16 points, 15 rebounds, and five blocks. The victory was the first for Arcadia in the postseason since it joined the MAC in 2007-2008, and the first dating back to at least the 2002-03 season.
