GLENSIDE - The third-seeded Arcadia University men's basketball team is set to travel to top-seeded DeSales University on Saturday afternoon for the Finals of the 2023 Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) Men's Basketball Championship with tip-off scheduled for 4:00 p.m. The winner will gain the conference's automatic bid into the 2023 NCAA Men's Division III Tournament.
This is the Knights first appearance in the MAC Freedom Championship since conference realignment in 2020-21. Arcadia's last championship appearance came on February 29, 2020 in a loss to Lycoming. Arcadia won its lone conference crown back on February 23, 2019, when the Knights topped Widener University 92-56 in the MAC Commonwealth Championship. Overall, this is Arcadia's fourth appearance in a MAC Championship game.

Arcadia has been led this season
Jalen Watkins, who averaged 18.9 points and 11.9 rebounds-per-game, both of which led the conference.
Justin Money finished the season averaging 13.3 points while leading the MAC Freedom in three-point percentage, converting at a 40.5 percent clip, and minutes-per-game at 36.3. Dom Vasquez ranked fourth in assists, dishing out 3.4 per-game. Money led the way on Wednesday at Lycoming in the semifinals with 25 points and five rebounds while
Nas Johnson added20 and Watkins had 19.
The Knights split the regular season with the Bulldogs, falling 74-58 in Center Valley on January 14th before winning 73-72 in overtime last weekend to close out the regular season.
