Strong Third Period Leads Women's Ice Hockey Over Alvernia

COLMAR, Pa. – Three third period goals were the difference for the Arcadia University women's ice hockey team as it defeated Alvernia, 3-1, on Saturday afternoon at Hatfield Ice Arena.

The Knights' weekend sweep over the Golden Wolves pushed the Arcadia record to 11-8-2, and 7-7-2 in United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) play. Arcadia's 11 wins on the season is a new program high, as it had 10 in its inaugural season a year ago.

Arcadia also improved its record in Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) play to 5-1 and is just two points behind Alvernia for the top spot in the standings.

Campbell Torrey, Drew Kuretsky and Berklee Hibbard all found the back of the net for Arcadia. Torrey scored a goal for the third consecutive game.
