HOBOKEN, N.J. - A total of 21 points through the first three quarters left too big of a deficit as the Arcadia University women's basketball team fell by a 72-36 final in Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) play to Stevens Institute of Technology, the No. 19 team in the latest WBCA Division III Coaches Poll, on Wednesday evening.
Delaney Bell led the Knights with 12 points.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-Bell notched the first bucket of the game before a 6-0 run put Stevens up 6-2.
-Back-to-back jumpers from
Scarlett Glasser-Nehls tied the score at six about halfway through the first quarter.
-The Ducks finished the quarter on a 10-0 run, holding a 16-6 lead.
-Stevens began the second quarter on a 9-2 run, leading 25-8 with under six minutes until halftime.
-The Knights faced a 35-12 deficit at the break.
-The Ducks outscored Arcadia 37-24 in the second half.
