GLENSIDE - Trailing 10-5 early in the third, the Arcadia University women's lacrosse team earned a 15-13 victory over SUNY Canton in non-conference action at Jean Lenox West Field on Thursday afternoon.
Ashley Starkey finished with a game-high seven goals while
Morganne Dee added three and
Campbell Torrey contributed two.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-Canton jumped out to a 4-0 lead, which is how the first quarter ended.
-Starkey got the Knights on the board less than a minute into the second quarter.
-Arcadia cut the deficit to 5-4 with two goals from Starkey and one from Torrey with 9:24 until halftime.
-The Roos scored four straight to enter halftime with a 9-4 advantage.
-The Knights tallied six of the next seven scores to tie the game at 10 with 2:27 remaining in the third.
-After Canton retook the lead, Starkey netted consecutive scores to give Arcadia its first lead at 12-11 with 12:59 left in the game.
-Dee and
Olivia Poley got the next two goals to extend the lead to 14-11.

Ashlyn Barton iced the win with a goal at 2:05 to finish the Knights scoring.

Emily Griffith made 11 saves to ear the win.
