CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Carson Denham tossed 7.2 innings of two-run ball, allowing six hits with one walk and five strikeouts to lead the Arcadia University baseball team to a 9-2 victory at DeSales University on Friday to open its Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) series.
Justin Massielo led the offense with a 3-for-4 showing.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-Arcadia opened the scoring in the top of the third on an
Emilio Pallante double down the left field line scoring
Griffin Murphy.
-The Knights added three run in the fifth on four hits with Pallante,
Anthony Bruno, and
Trey Obarowski driving in runners.
-DeSales trimmed the lead with one run in the sixth.
-Arcadia blew the game open in the eighth with five runs, inclduing RBI's from Murphy,
Alex Madera,
Matt Donchez, and
Matthew Sot.
-The Bulldogs finished the scoring with a run in the bottom of the eighth.
