Nathaniel Hudgins and Arcadia University baseball's
Alex Madera and
Hunter Curley were named Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) Players of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
Hudgins, the MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week helped the Knights to a win over Misericordia. The netminder tallied 12 saves and 12 ground balls in 60 minutes of net time.
Madera, the MAC Freedom Player of the Week went 12-for-19 with a .632 batting average, had eight runs scored, five RBI's, five stolen bases, two walks, two doubles and a triple in five games played for the Knights. He had three hits in the first two games of the series against FDU-Florham and two hits in the doubleheader against Delaware Valley and the series finale against FDU-Florham. Madera is currently on a 12-game hitting streak, and an eight-game multi-hit streak.
Curley, the MAC Freedom Pitcher of the Week picked up his second victory of the season as he pitched a complete game shutout against FDU-Florham as he only allowed three hits, while striking out six.
