GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's tennis team beat Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom competition Misericordia University in Saturday morning's senior day home match.
The Knights won 8-1, as they all but one doubles match. Seniors
Jonathan Noble,
Francis Tamesis and
Brett Schneider each won their singles and doubles sets on their final match as Knights.
SINGLES RESULTS
- At No. 1 singles, Noble dropped his first set 4-6, but then battled back to a win with two 6-1 sets.
- At No. 2 singles, Tamesis beat his opponent 6-3, 6-4.
- At No. 3 singles, Matthew Nagy secured the win with 6-0, 6-2 sets.
- At No. 4 singles, Schneider got the job done with a 6-1, 6-3 win.
- At No. 5 singles, Ryan Salmon took down Misericordia's Chase Cavanaugh 6-2, 6-4.
- At No. 6 singles, Dylan Infantino won his first singles match 6-0, 6-0.
DOUBLES RESULTS
- At No. 1 doubles, Noble/Schneider fell 1-8.
- At No. 2 doubles, Tamesis/ David Cassel beat their opponents 8-2.
- At No. 3 doubles, Carlos Pinga /Infantino fought hard but dropped their match-up 6-8.
