WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - 17 total runs were scored in two games as the Arcadia University baseball team split its Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) doubleheader with King's College on Saturday, taking game two 10-5 after falling 15-7 in game one.
HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME TWO: ARCADIA 10, KING'S 5
-Arcadia opened the scoring with three runs in the top of the first on a two-run double by
Anthony Bruno scoring
Emilio Pallante and
Matt Donchez followed by a single to left from
Michael Bukowski that brought home Bruno.
-Bruno increased the lead to 4-0 in the second with a sacrifice fly allowing
Griffin Murphy to score.
-
Alex Madera gave the Knights a 6-0 advantage in the third with a two-run single bringing in
Matthew Sot and Murphy.
-King's got on the board in the fourth with one run.
-
Griffin Murphy brought home
Justin Massielo with a sacrifice fly in the fifth before Donchez scored Sot with a sacrifice fly and Bruno followed with a run-scoring single where Madera crossed the plate making the score 9-1.
-The Monarchs cut the lead to 9-5 in the fifth.
-Madera finished the scoring in the sixth with a single bringing home Bukowski.

Hunter Sibley earned the victory in his first start since March 5th, allowing one run on four hits with two walks and four strikeouts across four innings.

-King's took the lead in the bottom of the first with two runs.
-Arcadia answered with three runs in the second on run-scoring plate appearances from Bukoswki, Sot, and Pallante.
-The Knights added four runs in the third as
Nick Bon Tempo, Madera, and Pallante had RBI turns at the plate.
-The Monarchs scored two runs in the fourth, five in the fifth, and six in the sixth to take the win.
