DALLAS, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's lacrosse team fell to Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) foe, Misericordia, 16-9, on Wednesday night.
 
Ashley Starkey and Campbell Torrey both had multi-goal games as Starkey led the Knights with four goals and Torrey chipped in with three. Olivia Poley set new career highs in points with five and assists with four in the defeat.
 
Emily Griffith was one save shy of a season high in the game as the junior goalkeeper made 12 saves.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Knights jumped out to a 4-2 first quarter lead through goals from Torrey (2), Poley and Starkey.
• Starkey scored the first goal of the second quarter to extend Arcadia's lead to 5-2, and she later added another tally in the quarter as the Knights led 6-4 at the end of 30 minutes of play.
• Torrey scored her third goal of the game, giving the Knights a 7-4 lead, but the Cougars scored the next six goals before Jordyn Chan stopped the run as Misericordia led 10-8 at the end of the third quarter.
• Misericordia outscored the Knights, 6-1 in the final quarter to seal the 16-9 win.
