GLENSIDE - The Arcadia University baseball team captured its second-consecutive Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) regular season crown with a doubleheader sweep of Misericordia University, the No. 15 team in the latest D3baseball.com national rankings, taking game one 11-2 before earning a 2-1 victory in game two.
HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME ONE: ARCADIA 11, MISERICORDIA 2
-Misericordia opened the scoring with a run in the third.
-The Knights exploded for nine runs in the fourth as

Justin Massielo,
Matthew Sot,
Alex Madera,
Anthony Bruno, and
Trey Obarowski all recorded an RBI.
-After the Cougars added a second run in the fifth,
Emilio Pallante and Wheeler each drove in a run in the sixth to finish the scoring.

Nadell Booker earned the victory with a scoreless inning of relief while
Hunter Sibley notched his sixth save with three innings of one-run ball.

-Arcadia was first to strike in game two when Pallante doubled, stole third, and scored on a throwing error by the catcher.
-The Knights doubled their lead in the fourth when Pallante brought home Donchez with a sacrifice fly.
-Misericordia cut the lead to 2-1 in the fifth.
-The Cougars loaded the bases with one out after an intentional walk to the leadoff hitter, but
Carson Denham was able to coax a 6-4-3 double play to end the game and secure the sweep.

Zach Steiger earned the win, allowing one run on one hit with four walks and four strikeouts across 5.1 innings.
Drew Pecorilli tossed a perfect 0.2 innings while Denham pitched a hitless seventh to get the save.
