AMBLER - The No. 1 Arcadia University baseball team moved one win away from its second consecutive Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) Championship after defeating No. 2-seeded Misericordia University by a 6-2 final in game one of the Championship Series at Skip Wilson Field on Friday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-Arcadia took the lead in the bottom of the first when
Emilio Pallante launched a one-out triple to the gap in right-center and scored on
Anthony Bruno's single down the right field line.
-
Justin Massielo doubled the lead when he doubled to right-center scoring
Matt Donchez.
-Misericordia cut the lead in half with a run in the top of the sixth.
-The Knights broke the game open in the bottom of the sixth on a sacrifice fly from Donchez, a run-scoring single by Massielo, and a two-run double off the bat of
Alex Madera.
-The Cougars scored a run in the ninth.

Carson Denham earned the victory, allowing one run on six hits with two walks and one strikeout over seven innings.
Nadell Booker pitched the final two innings, allowing an unearned run on four hits.
