DOYLESTOWN, Pa. - The No. 5 seeded Arcadia University softball team opened the 2023 Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) Tournament with a 5-3 win over No. 4 Stevens on Thursday morning at Delaware Valley University.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Megan Sooy gave Arcadia the lead in the third when she launched a three-run homer to left scoring Nathalia DiIanni and Madi Costigan.

-Stevens scored twice in the fourth to cut the lead to 3-2.

-Sooy scored on a wild pitch in the fifth, increasing the lead to 4-2.

-After the Ducks added a third run in the fifth, Devon Fithian brought home Megan Klose on a sacrifice fly to finish the scoring.

-Juliana Presto earned the win, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits with three walks and five strikeouts.
