GLENSIDE - Morganne Dee tallied two goals,
Caeley LeTersky broke the ice, and
Anna Doblovosky stopped three shots to all lead the Arcadia University field hockey team to a 3-1 season-opening victory over Stockton University on Friday evening at Jean Lenox West Field.
This was the Knights first victory over the Ospreys since 2016, breaking a seven-game winless streak.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-After a scoreless first half, LeTersky opened the scoring in the 33rd minute with an assist from
Katlyn McCorkle.
-After Stockton tied the score in the 44th minute, Dee got the lead back with an unassisted tally in the 51st minute off an Osprey turnover deep in their defensive zone, leading to a 1-on-1 with Stockton's goalkeeper that Dee was able to bury.
-Dee put the game on ice in the 56th minute after the Osprey's pulled their goalie off an assist from
Charli Rissmiller.
-Doblovsky made three saves to earn the victory in her first collegiate start.
