BRYN MAWR, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 victory over Bryn Mawr in its season opener on Friday night.
 
Danielle Doyle led all players with six kills in the victory. Estefanía Martínez-Solá stuffed the stat sheet as she recorded 10 digs, seven assists and five kills. Alysa Dennison and Chana Rothschild added five kills and four kills respectively.

HOW IT HAPPENED
 
Set 1: Arcadia 25, Bryn Mawr 11
An even start to the match eventually gave way to the Knights through a 9-1 run, giving them a 20-9 lead. After the Owls took the next two points, Arcadia closed the frame on a 5-0 run to take an early lead in the match.
 
Set 2: Arcadia 25, Bryn Mawr 9
With the Knights leading, 6-5, they rattled off 10 consecutive points, giving them a 16-5 lead. Bryn Mawr won the next three points, but Arcadia closed out the set on a 9-1 run.
 
Set 3: Arcadia 25, Bryn Mawr 18
Arcadia erased an early deficit with a 4-0 run, giving it a 6-4 lead and the Knights never trailed in the frame again as they closed out their first victory of the season.
