DALLAS, Pa. - A 23-9 second quarter provided all the cushion needed as the Arcadia University women's basketball team defeated Misericordia University 63-50 in Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) play on Wednesday evening.
FOR THE RECORD
-The Knights moved to 4-1 in conference and 15-1 overall.
-Misericordia fell to 6-10 overall and 0-5 in league play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-Misericordia opened the game on a 7-2 run through the first four minutes.
-Arcadia closed the quarter on a 14-6 run, leading 16-13 after the first quarter.
-The Knights began the second quarter with a 17-2 streak, holding a 33-15 advantage with 5:58 until halftime.
-Arcadia led 39-22 entering the break.
-The Cougars chipped away in the second half, but the Knights lead by double-digits the rest of the way,
