COLMAR - A 49-19 shots on goal difference was the storyline as four different goal scorers lifted the Arcadia University women's ice hockey team to a 4-1 win over Stevenson University in United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) and Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) play inside Hatfield Ice Arena on Friday afternoon.
FOR THE RECORD
-Arcadia improved to 11-5-0 overall and 9-3-0 in UCHC play.
-Stevenson fell to 3-17-0 and 3-12-0, respectively.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Knights opened the scoring at the 12:16 mark of the first period, just nine seconds into their first powerplay after a shot from the point by
Abbi Komrofske got knocked down i front, finding its way to
Ariel Williamson who was facing a wide-open net and did not miss.
-Arcadia doubled its lead 5:15 into the second period when
Morganne Dee redirected a shot from the point off the stick of Komrofske.
-After Stevenson cut the lead to 2-1, the Knights regained a two-goal advantage when
Karahkwenhawe White took a pass from
Haylee Kos on a two-on-one and went across the slot for a backhanded goal past a sprawling Mustangs goalkeeper at the 17:52 mark of the second.
-Arcadia finished the scoring at 7:39 in the third when
Emily Wilson's point shot made its way through traffic and went in off the inside of the far post for her first tally of the season.

Hannah Bergeron earned the win with 18 saves.
