HOBOKEN, N.J. - A late 13-2 run in the final quarter was the difference as the Arcadia University women's basketball team fell by a 67-62 final at Stevens Institute of Technology on Wednesday evening in Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) play.
FOR THE RECORD
-Arcadia fell to 17-3 overall and 6-3 in MAC Freedom games.
-Stevens improved to 10-10 and 5-4, respectively.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Knights jumped out to a 13-5 lead with 2:30 left in the first quarter.
-A 9-5 run by the Ducks to end the quarter cut the score to 17-14.
-Arcadia led 21-16 two minutes into the second, but a 10-1 run put Stevens ahead with three minutes until halftime.
-The Knights trailed 30-29 going into the break.
-Neither team was able to break through, but with Arcadia holding a 54-50 lead with six minutes remaining, the Ducks used a 13-2 run to go up 63-56 with 33 seconds left.
