DALLAS, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's swim team finished third overall at the Cougar Splash Invitational mid-season meet hosted by Misericordia University on Saturday. The team totaled 251 points on the meet.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The 200-yd medley relay group of
Matthew Drake,
George Wade,
Owen Foley, and
Tyler Mui recorded a third-place finish to kick off the meet (1:37.62).
- Wade also recorded a time of 2:15.61 in the 200-yd breaststroke (third) and a time of 4:31.80 in the 400-yd individual medley (fourth). Both times are season best times.

Roman Diakun (58.59) and
Jordan Green (59.24) both earned season bests in the 100-yd butterfly. The both dropped almost four seconds.

Braeden Wolf (1:50.8),
Owen Foley (1:56.84), and
Johnny Pierce (1:58.10) earned a season best in the 200-yd freestyle.

Zachary Horner recorded a lifetime best time of 2:01.42 in the 200-yd freestyle, dropping 4.73 from his previous best time.
- Mui (59.61) and Wade (1:00.79) finished third and fourth in the 100-yd breaststroke. Both times are season bests.

Michael Sanchez (1:06.12) and Mikalai Yakhimchyck (1:10.34) each went a season best in the 100-yd breaststroke as well.
- Drake finished second in the 100-yd backstroke with a lifetime best time of 53.23, cutting .62 from his 2023 mid-season meet time. He also recorded a fourth-place finish in the 200-yd backstroke with a time of 2:00.15.
- Wade, Mui, Drake, and Wolf finished in fourth place in the 800-yd freestyle relay (7:28.71).
- Wolf (17:36.25) and
George Mitev (17:48.54) finished fourth and fifth in the 1650-yd freestyle.

Adam Smith recorded a season best in the 200-yd backstroke, by almost two seconds.
- Mitev (2:09.15) and
AJ Benowitz (2:10.99) earned season bests in the 200-yd butterfly.
