Men's Basketball Tops Delaware Valley, Watkins Becomes First Player to Surpass 1000 Rebounds

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. - Arcadia University men's basketball graduate student Jalen Watkins became the first player to surpass 1000 rebounds with his first board of the day in the Knights' 75-52 Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) victory at Delaware Valley on Saturday afternoon.

FOR THE RECORD
-Arcadia improved to 15-8 overall and 8-4 in MAC Freedom play.

-Delaware Valley fell to 8-15 and 2-10, respectively.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-With the score tied at four three-and-a-half minutes into play, the Knights went on a 10-0 run, leaping ahead 14-4 with under 15 minutes on the clock.

-Arcadia maintained its advantage, heading into the break leading 37-22.

-The Knights ballooned to as much as 31 en route to the victory.

NOTES
-Money notched his second career double-double, the first since he went for 12 points and 12 rebounds against Gwynedd Mercy on November 16, 2021.

-The Knights had their third-best day from beyond the arc this season.
