HIRAM, Ohio – The Arcadia University men's volleyball team earned two wins on Saturday, sweeping both legs of its tri-match with Hiram and Olivet.
The Knights are now 6-3 on the year.
Andrew Ahn was named the MVP of the tri-match. He was joined on the All-Tournament Team by
Cameron Birch,
Ryan Miller and
Josh Clendening.
Ahn led the Knights attack in both matches, tallying 12 in the win over Hiram and 14 in the victory against Olivet. He added 10 digs against Olivet for a double-double.
Riley Kodidek totaled 43 assists in the two matches, dishing out 25 against Hiram and 18 against Olivet.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1: Arcadia 25, Hiram 21:
A back and forth start saw the set tied at nine. With the Knights leading 14-13, they went on a 6-1 run to take a 20-14 lead. Hiram fought back to get within three points on multiple occasions, but Arcadia closed out the frame to take a 1-0 lead in the match.
Set 2: Arcadia 25, Hiram 19:
Hiram claimed an early lead at 11-7. The Knights fought back to tie the set at 14, but Hiram answered to take the lead back at 18-16. However, Arcadia closed the set on a 9-1 run to take the second set.
Set 3: Arcadia 25, Hiram 19:
The Knights jumped out to an 11-7 lead, but Hiram answered, winning the next six points, giving it a 13-11 lead. Arcadia took the next two points to tie the set at 13 and extended their run to the end of the set, outscoring Hiram, 12-6, the rest of the way to win the set and sweep the match.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1: Arcadia 25, Olivet 18:
Olivet held an early, 5-4 lead, but Arcadia took the next five points, giving it a 9-5 lead. After the teams trading points, the Knights eventually took a 23-15 lead with a 6-1 run. Arcadia went on to take the final two points of the set for a 1-0 lead in the match.
Set 2: Arcadia 25, Olivet 18:
The Knights took five of the first six points of the set, and eventually built their lead to 11-5. Olivet never got closer than five points through the rest of the set as Arcadia took a 2-0 lead in the match.
Set 3: Arcadia 25, Olivet 14:
Arcadia once again had a strong start to a set, this time getting out to an 11-4 lead. The Knights maintained its seven-point lead late in the set at 17-10. They then closed the frame on an 8-4 run to win the set and the match.
