GLENSIDE - The Arcadia University women's basketball team set a new-program record with its 10th Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) victory, and clinched the first-ever home conference semifinal game in program history with a 78-66 win at FDU-Florham on Wednesday evening.
The Knights clinched the No. 2 seed in the upcoming MAC Freedom tournament, and will host the No. 3 seed on Wednesday, February 21st.
FOR THE RECORD
-Arcadia improved to 21-3 overall and 10-3 in conference play.
-FDU-Florham fell to 11-12 and 4-8, respectively.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-FDU-Florham began the game on a 19-6 run through the first six minutes.
-The Knights trailed 26-15 after one quarter.
-Arcadia went on a 23-10 run in the second, leading 38-36 at halftime.
-The Knights opened the third on a 10-4 run, taking a 48-40 advantage with under six minutes in the quarter.
-Leading 55-54 with 9:39 left in the game, a 13-4 run put Arcadia ahead 68-58 as the Knights cruised to the victory.
