Men's Basketball Survives Late Surge against Lebanon Valley

GLENSIDE - The Arcadia University men's basketball team held off a late surge to defeat Lebanon Valley College 75-73 in the final Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) regular season game inside Alumni Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.

FOR THE RECORD
-Arcadia concludes the regular season 17-8 overall and 10-4 in conference play. The Knights 17 wins ties for the second-most in program history.

-Lebanon Valley concludes its season 8-17 and 6-8, respectively.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Arcadia opened the game with a 4-0 run on a Darius Isaac jumper and Jalen Watkins layup.

-Leading 20-18 with nine minutes until halftime, the Knights used a 15-2 run to go up 35-20 with 4:19 on the clock.

-Arcadia led 44-28 going into the break.

-The Knights pushed their lead to 53-30 with a 9-2 stretch to start the second half.

-Arcadia held a 63-44 lead with 12:50 left but Lebanon Valley came storming back to tie the score at 69 with a 25-6 stretch.

-The Flying Dutchmen had a chance to take the lead late but a missed layup and a foul allowed the Knights to secure the win.

-Arcadia won the paint battle 28-24.

-The Knights also had the better bench today, getting 23 points and allowing 11.

NOTES
-Watkins notched his 42nd career double-double.

-Parks was a perfect 4-for-4 from the field, including 3-for-3 from deep.

-This was the Knights third-best day from the free throw line.
