GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's volleyball team swept its tri-match on Saturday inside Alumni Gymnasium, upsetting No. 4 Cal Lutheran in five sets and sweeping Lancaster Bible.
 
The Knights are now 4-2 on the year.
 
In the match against, Cal Lutheran, Andrew Ahn had a career-high 23 kills. He added another 10 in the win against Lancaster Bible for 33 total kills on the day.
 
Josh Clendening added 12 kills in the Knights win against Cal Lutheran and Riley Kodidek had a double-double with 46 assists and 10 digs. Kodidek had another 26 assists in the win over Lancaster Bible.

HOW IT HAPPENED
 
Set 1: Arcadia 29, Cal Lutheran 27:
With the set tied at five, the Knights took the next six points for an 11-5 lead. Cal Lutheran fought back to take a 13-12 lead, and eventually grew its lead to 22-18. The Knights then went on another 6-0 run to take a 24-22 lead. The Kingsmen fought off two set points to stay alive in the frame. With the set tied at 27, Arcadia took the next two points for a 1-0 lead in the match.
 
Set 2: Cal Lutheran 25, Arcadia 15:
The Kingsmen had a 10-9 lead and grew their lead to 18-9 with an 8-0 run. Cal Lutheran went on to win the set and tie the match at one.
 
Set 3: Cal Lutheran 25, Arcadia 13:
Cal Lutheran got out to an early 9-1 lead and never looked back as it took a 2-1 lead in the match.
 
Set 4: Arcadia 25, Cal Lutheran 23:
The back and forth set led to a 22-20 lead for the Kingsmen. Arcadia then took the next four points to get to set point. After Cal Lutheran fought off one set point, Arcadia took the next point to force and fifth set.
 
Set 5: Arcadia 15, Cal Lutheran 11:
Arcadia began the final set on a 6-3 run. Cal Lutheran cut its deficit to one at 10-9, but Arcadia closed on a 5-2 run to take the set and the match.

HOW IT HAPPENED
 
Set 1: Arcadia 25, Lancaster Bible 20:
The opening set saw both teams make multi-point runs, which led to a 9-9 tie. After the Chargers took a 10-9 lead, Arcadia went on an 11-3 run, taking a 20-13 lead. Lancaster Bible got within four points late in the set, but Arcadia closed it out to take a 1-0 lead in the match.
 
Set 2: Arcadia 25, Lancaster Bible 19:
Arcadia got out to a 13-5 lead. Lancaster Bible then went on a 4-0 run to cut its deficit to 13-9. The Chargers were not able to cut its deficit below four points in the rest of the set as the Knights took a 2-0 led in the match.
 
Set 3: Arcadia 25, Lancaster Bible 18:
The Knights trailed 11-10 in the set, but then went on a 7-1 run to take an 18-11 lead. Arcadia continued its momentum through the rest of the set to complete its sweep over Lancaster Bible.
