GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's lacrosse team used a hot start to propel it to a 17-10 win over Stockton on Wednesday night at Jean Lenox West Field. The Knights' win is the first in program history over the Ospreys in six tries.
The Knights improved to 5-5 with the win.
Kyle McLaughlin tied a season-high with six points on three goals and three assists.
Billy Burton had a game-high four goals. He also added an assist for five points.
Nathaniel Hudgins picked up his second win in goal for Arcadia this season as he made 13 saves.
ARCADIA 17, STOCKTON 10
HOW IT HAPPENED
- McLaughlin opened the scoring less than four minutes into the game to give Arcadia a 1-0 lead. Stockton then tied the game at one five minutes later. The Knights then scored the next five goals over the final five minutes of the opening frame to lead 6-1.
- Burton had two of the four Arcadia goals in the second quarter as the Knights shutout Stockton in the frame to lead 10-1 after 30 minutes of play.
- The Ospreys scored four of the six goals in the third quarter to get within seven at 12-5 after three quarters of play.
- Burton, Andrew Borum and Alex Adamczyk had scores in the fourth quarter as the Knights closed out their win over Stockton.
