AMBLER - The Arcadia University baseball team mashed its way to a dooubleheader sweep on Saturday, defeating DeSales University 14-4 in game one and 16-6 in game two of Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) play from Skip Wilson Field on Saturday afternoon.
FOR THE RECORD
-Arcadia improved to 16-7 overall and 7-2 in conference play.
-DeSales fell to 9-13 and 4-5, respectively.
HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME ONE: ARCADIA 14, DESALES 4
-Arcadia opened the scoring in the second on and RBI double from
Tommy Ajjan and a run-scoring single by
Matthew Sot.
-DeSales scored four times in the top of the third to take a 4-2 lead.
-The Knights stormed back in the bottom of the third, crossing the plate six times, with the big hit a three-run homer to right off the bat of
Eli Savitt.
-Arcadia five more runs in the fourth aided by a bases-clearing three-run double from
Anthony Bruno.
-Savitt launched his second homer in the sixth to finish the scoring.
-
Nadell Booker notched his third win, allowing four runs on seven hits across six innings with two walks and six strikeouts.

-DeSales took the lead in the top of the first with two runs.
-The Knights tied the score on a Sot two-run double in the bottom of the first.
-Arcadia increased its lead in the second on a Diaz RBI single and a two-run sacrifice fly from Bruno.
-The Knights added six runs in the third, three in the fourth, and one each in the sixth and seventh.

Hunter Curley earned the win, allowing three runs in 4.1 innings.
