DiNofa's 6 Goals and Poley's 8 Assists Lead Women's Lacrosse to Win Over Delaware Valley

GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's lacrosse team beat Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom opponent Delaware Valley University (DVU) 23-11 on Wednesday afternoon on Jean Lenox West Field.

The Knights partnered with the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) to host a Faculty and Staff Appreciation game where the seniors invited faculty and staff members that have positively impacted them during their time here. In addition, Arcadia University's President Dr. Ajay Nair read the Knights' starting line up.

The Knights move to 7-7 overall and 2-2 in conference.
 
Gianna DiNofa broke her career high for goals in a single game with six goals and Olivia Poley set a new career high for assists in a single game with eight.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Sarah Morris led off the scoring just two minutes into the game.

- The Knights followed with three more unanswered goals by Morris, Campbell Torrey, and Morganne Dee giving them a 4-0.

- Delaware Valley's Anna Kimbel put the Aggies on the board with 4:01 left in the quarter.

- Morris scored her third goal of the game off of an assist from Poley.

- Delaware Valley scored the last goal of the quarter making it 5-2 heading into the second.

- The Aggies started off the second quarter scoring, before Arcadia went on a 4-0 run including goals from Dee, Mackenzie Clark, DiNofa, and Morris.

- With one more goal apiece from each team, the score was 10-4 Arcadia at halftime.

- DVU scored the first goal of the second half, before the Knights put up three unanswered goals from Clark, Juliane Calalo, and DiNofa.

- Scoring was tied 4-4 for the rest of the quarter making the score 17-9 heading into the final 15 minutes.

- Poley assisted DiNofa and Dee to put the Knights up by 10 with 11:16 left in the game.

- In the last eight minutes of the game, The Knights outscored the Aggies 4-2 to end with a score of 23-11 Arcadia.

- Emily Griffith improves to 7-7 overall and 2-2 in conference.
