NEW TRIPOLI, Pa. - The Arcadia University men's golf team posted a team score of 328 in the opening round of the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) Championships on Saturday, hosted by Olde Homestead Golf Club.

The Knights sit in fifth place, only three strokes behind third and fourth place Lebanon Valley and Delaware Valley.

Shawn McKnerney and Brooks Hoffman both posted a score of 81 (+9) in the opening 18 holes of play, good enough to be tied for 12th place. 

Hoffman led the way with three birdies in his round. Josh German, Chad Maurer and Sean McGuire all had one birdie each in their rounds.
