CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's lacrosse team beat Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom opponent DeSales University 15-12 to clinch the fourth seed in the MAC Freedom Tournament.
The Knights move to 9-8 overall and 4-3 in conference.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Morganne Dee scored just 36 seconds into the game to give the Knights the first lead.

Gianna DiNofa scored a woman-up goal off of an assist from
Olivia Poley making it 2-0.
- DeSales then scored their first goal of the competition with 9:33 left in the first quarter.
- The Knights put up three unanswered goals by Dee,
Sarah Morris and Poley to extend their lead to 5-1.
- The Bulldogs scored two more goals before Joydyn Chan found the back of the net ending the first quarter with a score of 6-3 Arcadia.
- The Knights opened the second quarter with three unanswered goals; two from Dee and one from Morris assisted by DiNofa.
- DeSales put up two more before the half for a score of 9-5 Arcadia with 30 minutes left to play.
- The Bulldogs outscored Arcadia 6-4 in the third, but four goals from Dee (2),
Juliane Calalo (2) kept them ahead 13-11.
- Calalo and Dee scored Arcadia's only two goals in the final 15 minutes of play, but two fourth quarter saves from
Emily Griffith secured the 15-12 win.
- Griffith improves to 9-8 overall and 4-3 in conference, with nine saves on the day.
