BALTIMORE, Md. - Seven sterling innings from
Hunter Curley and an offensive explosion helped the No. 20 Arcadia University baseball team to a 10-3 win over Ramapo College after falling 20-8 to No. 6 Johns Hopkins University in the winners bracket contest on Saturday. With the game five win, Arcadia advances to the regional final for the second time in the last three years.
HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME TWO: ARCADIA 10, RAMAPO 3

Anthony Bruno opened the scoring in the top of the first with a solo home run to right.
-Ramapo tied the score in the bottom of the first.
-The Knights took a 4-1 lead in the top of the second with RBI's from
Gabe Diaz,
Matt Donchez, and
Kevin Wheeler.

Emilio Pallante pushed the advantage to 5-1 in the top of the third with a double plating
Justin Massielo.
-After the Roadrunners closed the gap to 5-3 in the bottom of the third,
Matthew Sot brought home Donchez and Bruno and
Solomon Griffith singled home Sot to push the lead to 8-3in the top of the fourth.

Kevin Wheeler brought Diaz home in the fifth and Donchez finished the scoring in the seventh with a solo homer to right.
-Curley was in top form, allowing three runs on three hits with four strikeouts in seven innings.

Gabe Marshall pitched a scoreless two innings, allowing a single hit with four strikeouts.

-Johns Hopkins scored once in the second and and four times in the third to take a 5-0 advantage.
-Donchez doubled in the third, scoring Pallante and Diaz to cut the deficit to 5-2.

Nick Bon Tempo launched his first career home run in the ninth, bringing in Wheeler snd Bruno.

UP NEXT
-The Knights advance to the regional final tomorrow where they will face off again with the No. 6 Blue Jays. Arcadia will have to win twice to advance to the Super Regionals, while Johns Hopkins needs one win to advance. First pitch in game six is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Sunday.
