HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's soccer team opened its season with 2-1 defeat at Haverford College in non-conference play on Friday evening.
Caroline Weirich netted the lone goal for the Knights.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Haverford had the first chances as the Fords peppered Knights goalkeeper
Abby Fuchs with eight shots through the first 20 minutes, with Fuchs stopping all four that were on net and one striking the crossbar.
-Haverford opened the scoring in the 35th minute.
-Fuchs kept the Knights in the game through the first 20 minutes of the second half, making seven saves.
-The Fords doubled their lead in the 68th minute.
-Weirich got Arcadia on the board in the 69th minute.
-The Knights unable to notch the equalizer in the final 20 minutes.
