GLENSIDE – The Arcadia University women's volleyball team split its non-conference tri-match against Elizabethtown and Eastern Mennonite. The Knights dropped a tough five set match to Elizabethtown and swept Eastern Mennonite.
In the match against Elizabethtown,
Nicole Dallara led the Knights with 20 kills while against Eastern Mennonite, Dallara tallied 16 to pace Arcadia.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1: Arcadia 25, Elizabethtown 23:
Elizabethtown got out to a 11-6 lead, before Arcadia brought it within one point with two kills from Dallara and two aces from
Chana Rothschild. The score stayed close throughout the rest of the set with Arcadia receiving match point off of a kill from Dallara.
Set 2: Elizabethtown 25, Arcadia 20:
The Blue Jays started with a 6-0 run and held the lead the entire match despite Arcadia coming within one point (19-18).
Set 3: Elizabethtown 25, Arcadia 11:
Elizabethtown won the final 10 points of the set to secure the win.
Set 4: Arcadia 26, Elizabethtown 24:
This set was tightly contested with Arcadia scoring the last three points to win tie the match up at two sets each.
Set 5: Elizabethtown 15, Arcadia 10:
Elizabethtown started on a 3-0 run before four straight put the Knights on top. A 10-1 run put the Blue Jays in the drivers seat as they captured the final set and the match.

Set 1: Arcadia 25, Eastern Mennonite 14:
The Knights scored the first three points and held the lead for the remainder of the set.
Set 2: Arcadia 25, Eastern Mennonite 22:
This set was tightly contested with the largest deficit being only three points, until Arcadia took a four-point lead at 21-17. Rothschild had the kill for match point to put the Knights ahead two sets.
Set 3: Arcadia 25, Eastern Mennonite 17:
Tied at five apiece, Arcadia used a 6-1 stretch to take an 11-6 advantage. After the Royals cut the lead to 12-11, a 10-3 run put the Knights ahead for good to seal the sweep.
