GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's soccer team notched its first Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) victory with a 6-1 defeat of DeSales at Jean Lenox West Field on Saturday afternoon.

Today was the first time the Knights scored six times since a 6-0 win at Alvernia on October 15, 2019.

FOR THE RECORD
-The Knights improved to 1-0-1 in conference play and 8-1-3 overall.

-DeSales fell to 1-1-0 and 3-6-2, respectively.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Ciara Garrett opened the scoring in the fifth minute with an assist from Sadie Nugent.

-Payton Salt extended the lead in the 10th minute with an assist from Nugent.

-Shelby Jones got on the board in the 51st minute with helpers from Ashley Evans and Alexa Barnett.

-Emily Di Silverio scored off a corner kick from Abby Stephens in the 56th minute to make the score 4-1.

-Nugent got in the goal column on in the 67th minute.

-Payton Lindsay punched in her first career goal in the 85th minute assisted by Katerina Kiousis.

-Abby Fuchs made three saves while Jordan Polen added one,
