DALLAS, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's swim team was back in the pool on Saturday, falling to host Misericordia University, 175-82. The Knights (0-2, 0-2 MAC) were led by sophomore Ava Despeaux, who earned two individual victories in the meet.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Despeaux picked up a pair of first-place finishes, winning the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:24.91 and the 100-yard butterfly in 1:02.43.
• The 400-yard medley relay team of Gabby Schultz, Despeaux, Audrey Haydu, and Mikayla Scardino placed second with a time of 4:22.89.
• Rylie Pellegrino finished third in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 12:39.94, followed closely by Maggie Dent in fourth at 12:43.16.
• Brooke Boyd earned a second-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:08.98.
• In her season debut, Abby Sandala placed fifth in the 100-yard backstroke.
• Sophia Randle finished fifth in the 50-yard freestyle, touching the wall at 27.54.
• Sam Ehrhart recorded a fifth-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke, clocking a 1:28.79.
• Kylie Perry placed third in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:38.00.
• Maddie Farrelly competed in both the 200-yard and 500-yard freestyle events, finishing sixth in each.
• The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Boyd, Schultz, Ehrhart, and Haydu closed out the meet with a time of 1:47.39.

The Knights will return to the pool next weekend when they travel to FDU-Florham for another MAC dual meet.
