MADISON, N.J. – The Arcadia University women's swim team was back in the pool on Saturday for a MAC meet at FDU-Florham. The Knights (0-3, 0-3 MAC) fell to the host Devils, 115-90. Arcadia earned four first-place finishes in the meet, with Ava Despeaux and Audrey Haydu each touching the wall first twice.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Despeaux finished first in the 100-yard butterfly, posting a new season-best time of 1:01.46. She also claimed first place in the 100-yard breaststroke with another season-best mark of 1:11.62.
• Haydu earned first place in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:21.97 and also won the 100-yard freestyle in 57.73, setting a new season best.
• Gabby Schultz placed second in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 12:11.68 and also finished second in the 500-yard freestyle with a 5:53.09.
• Brooke Boyd secured second place in the 200-yard freestyle with a new season-best time of 2:07.04.
• In the 50-yard freestyle, Mikayla Scardino finished second with a season-best time of 25.68, while Kiera Krebs followed closely in third at 27.31.
• Rylie Pellegrino recorded a new season-best in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 12:36.41, while Maddie Farrelly also achieved a personal best at 12:52.31.
• Sam Ehrhart competed in the 50-yard freestyle, finishing in 28.38.
• Abby Sandala posted a time of 1:13.08 in the 100-yard breaststroke.
• Maggie Dent finished the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:35.70.
• Kylie Perry contributed team points in both the 500-yard freestyle (6:17.89) and the 200-yard freestyle (2:24.72).
• Sophia Randle competed in the 100-yard backstroke, finishing with a time of 1:11.89.
UP NEXT
The Knights return home next week for their home opener against Messiah. The meet is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m.
