GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's wrestling team is set to kick off its inaugural season as the Knights travel to Princeton for the Princeton open on Sunday starting at 10:00 a.m.
"This is a growing year for us." Arcadia head coach
Michael Childs said. "The biggest thing is we have a team full of first year college wrestlers and there is a big transition to college. We are preaching a life style. It's not just the two hours in the room, it's what you're doing within the 24 hours a day and that is a process. We are going through that right now and we're seeing really good things in the room. There's been a lot of improvement and I am excited to see that continue."
The Knights squad is made up of 11 first year players in Courtney Bower,
Kai Degrasse,
Antonia Federici,
Eve Kurtz,
Sam Larkin,
Molly Lubenow,
Lauren Parry,
Z Pollard,
Madi Ridner,
Kaleia Timko, and
Elaina Washburn, and one junior,
Taylor McCue.
The Knights will play all of their home matches in Alumni Gymnasium.
The Knights will travel to Princeton on Sunday to open their season. Arcadia's women's wrestling team will debut their home slate on Sunday, November 9th, when they host McDaniel and Alvernia.
